I hadn’t thought about Chris Bliss for some time until seeing him listed as a keynote speaker for a conference my wife Rhonda is attending this month. The video of Bliss juggling three tennis balls to a medley of BEATLES’ tunes made the internet rounds a few years ago and millions were blown away by his performance.
You have to admit, it’s a great show closer. But it got me to thinking about something Marcus Buckingham wrote in Find Your Strongest Life Now.
Speaking primarily to women, but appropriate for everyone, Buckingham’s message is that to really enjoy life, to feel content, it’s necessary to HOLD ON to those things that make you feel strong. As you can see in the video of Chris Bliss, juggling is all about getting rid of the balls and never holding them for any length of time.
You KNOW what your strengths are. Make an intentional effort to find ways to use them at least once a day. Do it, and I guarantee you will feel as good a Chris Bliss does in his famous video clip.
