According to Wikipedia, the game of golf dates back to the year 1297 (not a typo). The fundamentals haven’t changed much. It’s still about hitting a ball (numerous times) with a stick until it (the ball) finally falls into a hole.
You’d think that something as venerable as golf would transcend the need for change, but this piece in today’s New York Times talks about some rather interesting technologies that are being applied by the folks who run the Masters.
If the centuries old game of golf needs to consider it’s strategic future, what makes you think whatever you do can get by with the same old stuff you’ve been doing for years?
